TCIFA Referees Given The Opportunity To Sharpen Skills At The FIFA MA Referee Course In Nassau
Ramauni Chang and Xavier Scott of the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association (TCIFA) participated in the FIFA MA Referee Course held recently in Nassau, Bahamas. This prestigious and intensive course provided both referees with a remarkable opportunity to enhance their skills and broaden their knowledge under the expert guidance of top international instructors.
During the course, Mr. Xavier Scott was actively involved in comprehensive fitness evaluations, which included conducting both referee and assistant referee fitness checks. These rigorous exercises are instrumental in refining and enhancing their current training regime, with the aim of elevating the fitness levels of our referees to meet international benchmarks. Mr. Scott had the privilege of collaborating closely with FIFA Fitness Instructor Kelesha Antoine, gaining valuable insights into best practices and innovative exercise drills.
Meanwhile, Ramauni Chang seized the opportunity to deliver insightful presentations to referees from other regions, significantly boosting his confidence in addressing a wide array of topics and clarifying complex areas of the game. He received invaluable guidance from seasoned Technical Instructors, including Mrs. Dianne Ferreira-James, which has greatly enriched his perspective. Mr. Chang plans to incorporate these insights into TCIFA’s on-field and online sessions, fostering continuous development and excellence among our referees.
The TCIFA is committed to fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the local football community. The knowledge and skills acquired by Ramauni Chang and Xavier Scott will significantly contribute to the advancement of our referee training programs, ensuring our officials are well-prepared and equipped to meet the demands of the game at all levels. The TCIFA firmly believes that such initiatives will not only improve the quality of refereeing in the Turks and Caicos Islands but also serve to inspire and motivate aspiring referees throughout the region.
