Turks and Caicos Islands Girls U-15 National Team Shines at the 2026 BFA Goombay Soccer Cup
Three days of intense competition (July 24-26th, 2026), memorable performances, and individual brilliance saw the Turks and Caicos Islands Girls U-15 National Team leave its mark on the 2026 Bahamas Football Association Goombay Soccer Cup in Nassau, Bahamas.
The tournament brought together six nations from across the Caribbean region, including the Bahamas, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Grenada, the United States Virgin Islands, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. The competition provided a valuable platform for young female footballers to gain international experience, showcase their talent, and continue their development on the regional stage.
Competing against some of the Caribbean's top youth teams, the Turks and Caicos Islands Girls U-15 National Team demonstrated determination, resilience, and tremendous growth throughout the tournament, ultimately securing a fourth-place finish among the six participating nations.
The tournament also saw individual excellence from several Turks and Caicos players. Forward Edna Jeanty delivered a remarkable performance, earning the distinction of Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the Turks and Caicos Islands National Team. Her contributions throughout the competition were further recognized as she finished as the tournament's Golden Boot winner, claiming the award for the highest number of goals scored.
Goalkeeper Jamai Robinson was equally impressive between the posts, producing a series of outstanding performances that earned her the tournament's Golden Glove Award, recognizing her as the competition's top goalkeeper.
