TCIFA Hosts Concacaf Venue and Match Coordinators Workshop — May 30–31, 2026
The Turks & Caicos Islands Football Association hosted the Match Commissioners Course at the TCIFA National Academy in Providenciales. Led by Shequita Parson and Patrick Beckles, the program brought together participants committed to strengthening match organization and governance standards at the TCIFA.
This two‑day course focused on the critical role of the Match Commissioner and Venue Coordinator in ensuring fair play, compliance, and smooth operations during competitions. Sessions included case studies, and best practices designed to elevate officiating and match management across the local football landscape.
Participants were further able to develop a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of match commissioners and venue coordinators by coordinating practical match preparations for the Provo Premier League match scheduled for 6.30pm on May 30th, 2026. These preparations included a stadium walkthrough, Locker room checks, Equipment checks, match sheet preparations and reporting.
These officials are integral to the organization and experience of football throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Together, Match Commissioners and Venue Coordinators:
Protect the integrity of the match.
Promote player and spectator safety.
Ensure compliance with competition regulations.
Reduce the likelihood of disruptions.
Help create a positive experience for everyone involved.
Through this initiative, TCIFA continues its mission to build capacity, enhance professionalism, and support the growth of football in the Turks & Caicos Islands.
